On November 18, 2024 Ambassador Hassani Iddi Mwamweta officially presented copies of his credentials to Ms. Anett Varga, the Head of Protocol at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This significant step authorizes Ambassador Mwamweta to commence his diplomatic duties in Hungary while awaiting the formal presentation of the original credentials to the President of Hungary.
Tanzania and Hungary share a strong and enduring partnership rooted in decades of collaboration since the 1960s. Over the years, the two nations have worked together across various sectors, including water management, education, healthcare, and tourism. These efforts have fostered mutual development and strengthened bilateral ties.
Ambassador Mwamweta’s accreditation marks another step in fortifying the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the United Republic of Tanzania and Hungary.
