The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Berlin, Germany, represented by H.E. Hassani Iddi Mwamweta, Ambassador of Tanzania to Hungary residing in Berlin, is honored to participate in the official visit of Hon. Péter Szijjártó, Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, to Tanzania on September 29, 2025. The visit was extended at the invitation of Hon. Amb. Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation.

Minister Szijjártó's visit aims to boost economic and diplomatic ties between Tanzania and Hungary as part of both countries' efforts to grow relations in areas like trade, investment, education, tourism, and infrastructure, water and health.

During his visit, Hon. Szijjártó held a private meeting with his host, Hon. Ambassador Kombo, followed by bilateral discussions involving delegations from both Tanzania and Hungary, including ministers and senior government officials from both sides.

Also Hon. Péter Szijjártó, officiated the opening ceremony of the new Embassy Office of Hungary, located in Masaki, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The establishment of this new diplomatic office marks a significant milestone in the strengthening of bilateral relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and Hungary. The move reflects both countries shared commitment to deepening cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, tourism, education, and technology.

The opening of the new Embassy Office is expected to promote increased engagement between Tanzania and Hungary, strengthening people-to-people connections and supporting their shared goal of sustainable development and prosperity.
