The newly elected leaders of the Tanzania Diaspora Association in Germany known as Umoja wa Watanzania Ujerumani (UTU) made an introductory visit to the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Berlin and were received by His Excellency Ambassador Hassani Iddi Mwamweta.

The leadership constituted by its chairperson, Mr. Erasto Mbwana; Vice Chairperson, Ms. Fauzia Mwale-Huhn; Secretary, Mr. Shabani Khalfan and Treasurer Ms. Faith Sandke held constructive discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Embassy and the UTU. Both sides underscored the importance of unity, mutual support, and proactive engagement in advancing national development and promoting Tanzania’s image abroad.

Ambassador Mwamweta commended the new leaders for their commitment and vision and encouraged them to continue fostering solidarity and active participation among Tanzanians living in Germany. He extended his best wishes to the team as they assume their new responsibilities in service to the Tanzanian community.

The Embassy reaffirmed its continued partnership with UTU and all Tanzanian Diaspora Associations as key stakeholders in promoting Tanzania’s socio-economic and cultural interests globally.
