From 15th to 19th January 2025, H.E. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, undertook an official working visit to the Czech Republic at the invitation extended by H.E. Jan Lipavský, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. This visit marked an important step in strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two nations and exploring opportunities for economic collaboration.

The primary goal of the visit was to engage in discussions on various bilateral matters, strengthen economic relations, and explore new avenues for collaboration between the two nations. During this period, Ambassador Kombo met with key government officials, including H.E. Jan Lipavský, Czech Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Ing. Martin Kupka, Czech Minister for Transport, and Mr. Roman Groling, the Honorary Consul of the United Republic of Tanzania in Czech Republic.

Moreover, H.E. Ambassador Kombo had the opportunity to interact with leaders from major companies operating in both Tanzania and the Czech Republic, as well as international firms. Noteworthy companies such as Zbrojovka, Škoda Group, Tatra, Excalibur Army, Czech Railways, and UJP Praha were involved in the discussions, which focused on potential collaboration in sectors like transport and infrastructure. Consequently, this visit highlited Tanzania's commitment to enhancing its relations with the Czech Republic while exploring new opportunities for shared growth and development.
